ISB AWARDS & ISB2001-ZURICH-AWARDS

GENERAL INFORMATION

During the ISB2001 Congress participants have the possibility to win scientific awards, sponsored to recognise outstanding scientific contributions in the field of biomechanics. There are two main categories of awards, the ISB-Awards and the ISB2001-Zurich-Awards. Additional details regarding the ISB-Awards can be found on the ISB homepage (http://isb.ri.ccf.org/awards.html).

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Basic requirement for all candidates is the online submission of abstracts until January 15, 2001. Additionally, all candidates have to submit a two-page abstract in pdf-format to the Congress Office by April 30, 2001 (exception: nominees for the Clinical Biomechanics Award have to submit a full length paper according to the guidelines of the journal).

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application for awards cannot be done during the abstract submission process. For award application please send an email to the Congress Office (isb2001@biomech.mat.ethz.ch) containing the award name, author’s name and abstract title (exception: candidates for the Promising Young Scientist Award have to apply directly to the Jury Chairman Stuart McGill). Deadline for the award application is January 15, 2001.

NOTIFICATION OF NOMINEES

Notification of nominees will be done until May 31, 2001 (exception: nominees for the Clinical Biomechanics Award are notified until February 28, 2001).
